It works perfectly. I'd like to know where you tried to imprint (you can do it on the back side, but you cannot on the pressing side) to be able to return it up to get a toe you missed, or even a finger impression, but I believe that failing to get it the first time is mostly an error of the user.

The prints came out really cute and are clear and on nice thick paper. You can use the Ink Pad to turn the sheet for a second time if you make a mistake the first time and they even give you two sheets of paper per ink pad since they are aware of the possibility of it happening.
