Health-related myths are difficult to shift, maybe even in the minds of physicians. For many years at this point there continues to be the myth out there that testosterone replacement therapy was somehow risky because it caused or at minimum encouraged prostate cancer. There was not any evidence to allow for this myth by the way.Above The Clouds However, did that matter? Not at all. Testosterone promotes prostate cancer and allow that to be an end to it.

Go here - visit the following web page, is exactly where the confusion arose I think: Testosterone suppression is a recognized treatment for prostate cancer which has spread outside the prostate capsule. This utilized to be achieved by castration. Today medications do the same exact thing. Testosterone suppression leads to several of these cancers to get smaller for a year or two then again, they recur.

So there is the origin of this myth. If the suppression of testosterone is able to reduce in size prostate tumor then logically extra testosterone is able to make them grow. Right? Not any, incorrect. And so we would once argue. Prostate cancer isn't an illness of young men with high amounts of testosterone. It's predominately a disease of older males whose testosterone levels are in decline. Thus, if anything at all, testosterone is protective against cancer.

So now we are aware that what we suspected all along is really scientifically proven. Testosterone Replacement Therapy does not improve the risk of prostate cancer by one iota. Because of the task of two Harvard researchers Dr Abraham Morgentaler and Dr Emani Rhoden this misconception has, at lone finally, been exposed as being just that - a myth. In fact, if anything at all, the concern today seems to be that if a man is discovered to have a very low testosterone level the odds of his of acquiring prostate cancer are improved.

It is too timely still to say if offering testosterone replacement therapy affords a man some protection against getting prostate cancer. That might however be shown to be the case. But certainly today we know that TRT is not dangerous does not "flame the fires" of already existing prostate cancer.

In a means it's sad to think that possibly millions of older males have long been committed to suffer the consequences of persistent degenerative disease like osteoporosis, Alzheimer's disease, arteriosclerosis, erectile dysfunction as well as decreased energy all because a healthcare myth got in the way of them being properly managed. Many of these conditions can be ameliorated with straightforward TRT. Of course, for the majority of us there may still be time to catch up.Skydive Cerrado Paraquedismo - Anápolis, Go, Brazil.
