They say, tis is a very good time in history being in existence. Technological advances multiply every day. Medical advances are snowballing. We have cures for diseases, we did not understand, existed one 100 years ago. Customers are living more than ever before (females have a lengthier life expectancy than males). Perhaps, it's the best time to be in existence.
With all the advancements in medicine and technology, comes responsibility. Also, with responsibility, comes worry. Computers were supposed to help make us a paperless society. As a pharmacist, over the past 33 years, I discover this not to be real. During the 1970's, I filled a prescription, stamped the specific prescribed empty with the day, initialed it, and dispensed it. Today, we enter all of the info in a computer, initial it, and there about five more steps, before we can give it to the patient. And, there are numerous more newspapers to store away for about seven years. I'm not saying today's method isn't a better one. It's not a paperless one.
With each new phase, comes extra responsibility. With each new task, comes stress. The task is much more stress filled than it had been in the 1970's. I believe that everyone has become affected, somehow, by our technological growth. And, this is responsible for a lot more stress for the individual.
Stress causes an increase in blood glucose levels. This is an element of our survival system, called the fight or flight syndrome. As it happens, the body senses stress. To contend with stress, the body releases adrenaline, along with all kinds of other chemical substances. This's helping you battle or flee from the circumstances. Nonetheless, these days, we do not fight or perhaps flee, we deal with it. However, struggling with it, doesn't switch the manner the body handles the situation.
Something that does change, is the blood glucose of yours. The entire body improve the quantity of sugar into the blood for energy to ward off and / or flee. Usually, the surplus sugars will be used again in tho the cells. If you've diabetes, this doesn't happen. The entire body of yours doesn't get details the sugar out of the blood. So now, you have a better blood glucose level. This can continue the whole day, raising your glucose levels level higher and higher. After that, you want more medication to control it.
This may be a continuous cycle. Relaxation is a vital part away from the key to battle this cycle. Nevertheless, how can you relax? Your blood glucose is high and also you believe wired. Training.
Meditation can lower the medication. This involves focusing on something else or perhaps nothing at all. It should be practiced in a peaceful time and place. Be sure you're void of interruptions.
Walking is usually a peaceful, calming, experience. Stroll in the fresh air. Breathe in life that is new to the body of yours, exhale that which is negatively affecting you. The blood sugar level of yours goes down with walking.
