Year after year, the pharmaceutical companies are creating a killing selling pills, convincing folks this is the only way for them being happy. But the fact remains, activities that are simple can help enhance the moods of ours and feel much better about ourselves and the earth around us.

We all get caught up in daily living, that seems stuck on autopilot. You wake up, go to work, come home, bring the little ones to soccer, do chores, make dinner, and get ready to get it done all once more tomorrow. I know I have become stuck in a rut, feeling like I'm not getting anywhere, not doing anything, at times even feeling insignificant.

So as to break that cycle, I had to interrupt it. Very little by little, I began doing different things. These four activities Here (Full Post) helped me improve the mood of mine significantly.

Begin a fitness program. Whether it is walking, yoga, or some other low impact, non strenuous exercise, getting physical exercise is everything around great for us, helping head and body. Exercise is a good way to treat stress which enables it to also help release serotonin and endorphins, natural mood enhancers produced by the brain.

Begin a garden.354785.jpg This was the original year we began a garden and it's been an eye opener for me. I never recognized the sense of achievement when you can pick your very own peas, beans, tomatoes or whatever else we choose to develop. It's relaxing only focusing on the garden, getting the hands of mine dirty and feel a special connection with nature itself when tending to it. We likewise compost, which just makes me feel good I am doing something positive for the environment.

Try meditation. Meditation is a good way to learn what really is going on inside. It wasn't until I took the time and learn meditation did I recognize just how useful it was. Even ten minutes a day can have a big impact on those who practice it. however, it will take practice.

Start a hobby. The passion of mine was in music, but any hobby is a much needed break from everything else. We have to take time in something we enjoy. See that activity that you enjoy doing for no other reason than just enjoying it as well as you will always have something to look forward to.

The most significant secret I have discovered to being happy is do what you want to do.
